Trace Element Analysis

  • Capabilities: We utilize LA-ICP-MS to provide accurate trace element measurements at ppm to ppb levels in minerals such as zircon, apatite, calcite, and feldspar. We use the Agilent 8800 triple quadrupole ICP-MS paired with a RESOlution 193 nm laser.
  • Applications: Our analyses are fundamental to geochemical fingerprinting, provenance studies, and reconstructing paleoenvironmental conditions, which are key for characterizing mineral deposits and environmental settings.

U-Pb Geochronology

  • Methodology: Using the Element 2 Sector Field or the Agilent 8800 triple quadrupole ICP-MS paired with a RESOlution 193 nm laser, we deliver high-precision U-Pb dating in minerals like zircon, calcite, apatite, cassiterite, perovskite, monazite, and titanite.
  • Applications: This service is indispensable for dating geological events, magmatic crystallization, sediment provenance studies, and fossil dating for biotic events.

Strontium (Sr) Isotope Analysis

  • Isotopes and Equipment: Focused on the ⁸⁷Sr/⁸⁶Sr ratio, we employ the Neoma ICP-MS and Agilent 8800 for accurate analyses.
  • Applications: Sr isotopes support provenance studies, diagenetic analysis, and paleoenvironmental reconstructions in sediments and biogenic carbonates.

Neodymium (Nd) Isotope Analysis

  • Isotopes and Equipment: Our work with the ¹⁴³Nd/¹⁴⁴Nd ratio aids in studies on mantle differentiation and crustal evolution.
  • Applications: Nd isotopes are critical for understanding crustal evolution, provenance, and igneous processes.

Hafnium (Hf) Isotope Analysis
